I'm Ellen, uh tbirdgal and I'm here in Richmond Virginia and very out ! I'm older than most and I have lived in Houston , Dallas , Los Angles , a small town in Oregon , and for a brief period , Washington D C .

I'm here to experience all that I can of Transgender lifestyles . I volunteer within my city where I speak to hospital and medical professionals as to our needs and to bring some of the outside world to those in Nursing facilities . I also build exhibits for museums and I enjoy my antique cars .

Wow, you are exceptionally well traveled and knowledgeable. I am very glad to have you here. People live an entire life time and don't even accomplish half of what you have. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to your valuable input and probably wants to hear more about the things you do/did for the community.

J J , I currently volunteer with a Gay and Transgender group called S. A. G . E Originally, called Service Allied with Gays for Education , we try and speak to medical personnel as to the special needs that Gay and Transgendered Elderly people face when in a medical facility like a Nursing Home . I also work locally with the Richmond Organization for Minority Youth . It's a place for kids 14 to 21 to be themselves as they question their Sexuality be they gay or want to explore being a transgendered individual . Hey, feel free to ask questions !

That's awesome. It sounds like incredible work and something that more major areas could really use. Is there a larger network and similar facilities your services keep in contact with? Maybe you can post a topic with their info or websites for people on here that might want/need them.
