Thank you. Yes, it is natural. Ironically, I get my thick curly hair from Dad not Mum.

The only draw back about my hair is that it is very difficult to manage. It gets frizzy very easily. I have recently discovered a couple of new products to help manage this.

Hi Loving Soul, perhaps you could do a trial run. You can have a temporary curl put in your hair with hot curlers at the hairdressers. It will go back to normal once you wash it. You can see if it suits then. This may be too expensive though.

I had my appointment with the endocrinologist in Brisbane yesterday. Apart from being a horrible day - I was over an hour late for my appointment because I couldn't get a taxi!

Surprisingly, he has prescribed me an almost identical hormone regime. I am not sure what to make of it. He has prescribed me the following:

2 Microgynon 50mg /Day (Ethinyloestradiol 50 micrograms + 125 micrograms Levonorgestrel each tablet)
1 Aldactone / Day (100mg Spironolactone)

This is actually a 5microgram/Day lower dosage. The old hormones didn't contain the progesterone though (which is a testosterone inhibitor).

I am going to ask for transdermal oestradiol valerate to supplement this at my next appointment. This will hopefully replace the Primogyn Depot injections which are now unavailable in Australia. I swear that the oestradiol valerate has its own benefits.

I will point out that the above regime is very universal. I found a 2003 paper in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism that lists various hormone regimes from different gender clinics. The above dosage is typical of this. Here's Hoping!
