Hi, The dosage for spironolactone ranges from 100mg to 300mg per day. It is not advisable to take a higher dosage because of the other effects that it has on the body.

The recommended dosage for premarin is around 5mg/day if I remember correctly. I highly recommend laser hair removal if you can afford it. Especially if you have dark hair.

M.

I agree with oz3male, I think that is the intended result lovingsoul. That is one of the feminising effects of oestrogen. :) Most men I have known like a woman with a bigger but - look at Beyonce for instance. This may be a good sign that your body is taking to the Premarin. I think certain hormones are more effective than others.

Just out of curiosity, why have you stopped taking spironolactone?

It's best not to stop and start taking hormones. I have heard this can make you look 'hard' like a post-menopausal woman.

Hi, I just had a conversation with a GP who has a long history of treating transexuals. She told me that ethinyl estradiol is not as effective for feminising caucasian transexuals than other forms of estrogen.

My endocrinologist said that the research for ethinyl estradiol came out of Singapore. My immediate reaction was the same as this GP - feminising an Asian male is different from feminising a caucasian male - she obviously agrees.

She recommends a low dosage of ethinyl estradiol and a daily dose of estradiol hormone gel Sandrena to replace the primogyn depot injections (oestradiol valerate).

I just thought I would share.

I take 100mcg of ethinyl estradiol each day and 10mg of Estradiol Valerate one a week. I also take 100mg of spironolactone ever day.

Hi Oztgirl...
I was just astonished about the pills you girls take. If I read right, then that preparations are contraceptive pills and other similar things. I always thought, there are special medications for the change of gender.
