What do you all feel about the recent banning of thai genital surgery of underage men who want to get rid of their genitalia to match their feminine gender identity?
I understand all surgery should not be taken lightly but this ban seems unfair to those who need the procedure.

I am not sure I agree that irreversible surgery should be allowed for those underage people. Your sense of self and identity is still forming and being shaped. To be honest, at the age of 32, I am glad I didn't have the surgery when I was younger. My sense of self is significantly different now than it was 13 years ago when I went on hormones.
