hi everyone..

I'm just curious, does anyone here do
2 times medical checkup for kidney, liver, blood count,
blood pressure, I mean simply full blood text to check organs
functions due to HRT?

As for me I monitor it every 6 months,
so that I know there are no damaged on my organs due to HRT.

Hi,

yeah twice per year is a good idea anyway, with or without HRT, especailly if you're over 30.

A full blood examination picks up changes in blood chemistry, which doesn't tell you what exactly is wrong, but can tell a doctor that something needs to be followed up. A single value, like a lowered sodium for instance, might be from a number of things, like not enough salt in your diet, or drinking way too much water at the nightclub the night before! ;)

cheers,
Tony

how much is too much?

watch your urine...if it's a light straw colour, it's ok...if it's completely clear, take a break from the water, unless you're doing something really strenuous, like running a marathon. Usually most people don't drink enough!

Most people can only absorb about 150ml / hour (5 fluid ounces/ hour for our american cousins) Big framed people, a bit more.

Sports drinks are a better way to get rehydrated, so if you're out in the nightclub, have a water, followed by something like a gatorade if they have it, or a mineral water if they don't. Just alternate between the two, and you won't have to worry about washing out the salt out of your body.

Happy to help!

cheers,
Tony
