Toki Pona is a constructed language created a few years ago by a transgender linguist Sonja Elen Kisa from Canada.

Toki Pona is a minimal language. Like a pidgin, it focuses on simple concepts and elements that are relatively universal among cultures. Kisa designed Toki Pona to express maximal meaning with minimal complexity. The language has 14 phonemes and 120 root words. It is not designed as an international auxiliary language but is instead inspired by Taoist philosophy, among other things.

The language is very simple and beautiful.

English in America is an abomination. Every kind of person uses it their way so that none of the words have any real meaning any more. People attach multiple meanings to a word.

Attaching multiple meanings to words is economical. Most words have multiple meanings - if they didn't we would have to come up with new words all the time.

Languages change in order to fit the needs of the people speaking them. That is why different meanings get attached to different words over time (or within one generation).

Well now, first thing is first... My tongue functions quite well thank you :P see? And if you need your own evidence I suggest you come find it yourself :D

I understand what SLY is talking about... thanks to the ambiguity of our words here and with all the loose definitions/meanings there are SO many missunderstandings. Much of the time it's not a problem because if there is a question about the meaning someone is trying to convey, then we ask. But many times people assume what they wish for whatever reason because it suits them to either not care, or to "twist" what someone had said. I am sure this goes on everywhere, but here I always feel like no one is really understanding me unless I attempt to explain it in detail. That brings up an interesting side note... I always tell people never be afraid to ask me anything even if it's about what I mean because I have always felt words can only go so far.

Mental thought and feeling transfer! That is where it's at. If we could do that then anyone could "speak" to anyone and no one would ever be confused unless the sending person is confused! Um... second thought... maybe that's not a good idea, some people might find out how I feel about them  HAHAHA
