I'm VERY new to the whole idea of hormones, and I was just wondering out of curiosity, that as a woman, if I started to take T, would I loose the ability to conceive children or carry children? For example, would my ovaries stop working?

Thanks. :)

I would think so, but I'm not a doctor. I know that I will become sterile in about 6 months, and after a year, the effects will become permanent and irreversable.

Think before you do it. And, talk to a doctor first.

I'm a Male to Female, and (the first time I was on hormones) I was able to impregnate a girl after about 9 months. I know T works a lot stronger and faster than estrogen though. A friend of mine who has been on T for a few years is definitely sterile with no way of going back.

yes, providing you still have the female sex organs, might take more time for you to get pregnant.
