New to all things

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and I am a newcomer to transgender people.
My only experience is talking to katoys (ladyboys) in Thailand. I have joined a dating agency but have no idea where this will take me. This may be a journey of major discovery for me. If I eventually make contact with someone who really appeals to me, I have no idea how it will be or how I will react when I meet them.
There must be some of you out there that have entered in this exciting new world (new to me) with no preconceptions and an open mind. I do not want to hurt feelings and yet I want to learn as much as possible before I commit myself to meeting a lovely transgender person. Please, please accept my apologies if I have already upset someone. I don't know if I should call you transgender/ TG, or is there another word to use?

TG / transgender or tgirl is ok. But please try to avoid using the word ladyboy. We have a good topic explaining why some words offend transgender people. Here it is Transgender Terminology To Avoid

Have you joined the dating agency to find a tgirl? Have you tried online dating web sites?

Well, anyway I guess you can pick up some useful information on this forum about how to communicate or act with TGs if you meet them in real

I have joined an agency called "meetladyboy.com". This seems ok with lots of members and I have nad some contact, but, I guess you may not like the word "ladyboy"?
Perhaps you suggest some others?

Ladyboy is a very popular word among the transgender community in Thailand. Probably some Thai TGs know only words kathoey in their own language and ladyboy in English to describe themself.

As for MeetLadyboy - that dating web site was created for the Thailand market but became very popular worldwide.. Here on this forum we try to avoid the world ladyboy as I mentioned above.

General term use worldly is "transgender @ TG" or "transexual @ TS", girl..

As for meetladyboy, I "been there and done that".. best wishes..
