There are few estrogen in the market. Regarding which estrogen is good for transgender, I'm not really sure because there are no studies on that.. But there some recommended brand from some organization suggested that Premarin, Estrofem, Diane-35, some other brand.. As for premarin, it is the most common mixture of natural estrogens derived from the urine of pregnant mares.
As for myself, I tried few brands in my transformation. Different brand have different side effect such as, depression, tend to eat alot, water retention, IBS, mood swing etc.. again its depend on one body i guess. Currently I'm taking Marvelon (cheaper) then other brand I took before. I have not take Premarin so far.
Regarding to remove or reduce unwanted hair, HRT didn't much on unwanted hair but it help to make it grow slower. Anti-androgen (androcur or spironolactone) will help a lot to control unwanted body hair growth. When anti-androgen consumed, it suppressed your male hormone which is testosterone.
Baldness? Proscar and Propecia treat male pattern baldness. these 2 brands work as anti-androgen as well. highly effective in inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to DHT (dehydrotestosterone) responsible for male sexual characteristics.
My HRT regime, estrogen(marvelon) daily + injectable estrogen once a month + antiandrogen(androcur) alternate day.
